isn't grammatically correct

its either

Jsmn is the world's fastest JSON parser/tokenizer.

or

Jsmn is one of the world's fastest JSON parsers/tokenizers.

I do agree with you here and my opinion is to go with your second suggestion for the description. Although, I am not able to edit it myself. Will have to wait for @zserge to do it.
