Is there a way to watermark into pdf?

I only how to add image but I can't find a functionality to add watermark in pdfkid.

May I know if there is any work around or better solution.

You could probably draw a vector with a low opacity over the page for the same effect

I simply make the watermark in HTML,I think there is no direct way of doing it using pdfkit

Here is a code snippit where you pass in an image as a base64 string and it'll add a watermark coveing the vast majority of the A4 page. (This resides inside our PDFKit class)

public addWatermark(base64Image: string): void {
    const addImage = () => {
      this.doc.image(base64Image, {
        cover: [this.doc.page.width - 100, this.doc.page.height - 100],
        align: 'center',
        valign: 'center',
      });
    };

    addImage();
    this.doc.on('pageAdded', (): void => {
      addImage();
    });

I think @peterjdrb example is the best way to go about it, but I wonder if there's scope for a opacity option in the doc.image?
