Privacy Policy - Do Nothing

"Do Nothing" is an AI-powered automation assistant. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how your data is handled. This Product does not maintain any external servers; all core data processing and storage occur on your local device.

1. Data Collection and Usage

Personal Information

We do not collect any personal information (such as your name, email, or address) through the use of this extension.

API Credentials

  • What we collect: Google Gemini API keys.
  • How we use it: To authenticate your requests with the Google Gemini AI services.
  • Where it is stored: Locally in your browser's secure chrome.storage.local. It is never uploaded to our servers.

Browsing and Page Data (DOM)

  • What we collect: Content from the active browser tab (HTML/DOM structure, visible text, and URLs).
  • How we use it: To provide context to the AI model so it can perform requested actions (e.g., summarization, data extraction, navigation).
  • Where it is stored: This data is processed in memory during the active session. Summaries or extracted facts may be saved to your local "Memory" or "History" only if you have enabled those features.

Voice Input

  • What we collect: Transcripted text from the browser's Web Speech API.
  • How we use it: To allow hands-free input for the chat interface.
  • Where it is stored: We do not record or store raw audio. Only the resulting text is used in the chat interface and stored locally in your history.

2. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Third-Party Services

To provide AI functionality, "Do Nothing" shares user-provided prompts and relevant page data with:

  • Google LLC (Gemini API): When you interact with the assistant, data is sent directly from your browser to Google's API servers. This data sharing is necessary for the extension's core functionality.

All Parties User Data is Shared With:

  1. Google LLC: Prompts and page context are sent to Google's AI models via the API key you provide.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to any other third parties. There are no analytics or tracking scripts included in the extension.

3. Data Control and Deletion

You have full control over your data:

  • Delete Sessions: You can delete individual chat sessions in the "History" tab.
  • Clear Memory: You can wipe all learned facts in the "Memory" tab.
  • Settings: You can remove your API key at any time.
  • Uninstall: Uninstalling the extension will automatically purge all locally stored data, including API keys and conversation history.

4. Compliance with Chrome Web Store

This privacy policy is designed to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy. It accurately discloses the collection, use, and sharing of data as required by the Developer Dashboard.
